BIO
In 2007, TAYLOR BIBAT graduated from Oberlin College with a BA in Theater where she concentrated in acting and directing. Upon graduation she was presented with the Nash Drama Award and an award for activism from the Psychology department. She immediately moved back to her native Chicago to pursue a theater career and fell in love with the city and especially the energizing theater scene she found there. As an actor, puppeteer, director, and designer, Taylor has worked with companies such as The Bricklayers, Redmoon Theater, Blair Thomas and Company, Collaboraction, Victory Gardens, The Building Stage, Silent Theatre, Thresholds Theater Arts Project and trained with Paola Coletto (clown), The Actors Gymnasium (circus/aerial), The Eugene O'Neill National Theater Institute, CAP21 in NYC (musical theater), Gallery 37, and Chicago Academy for the Arts. She is a teaching artist with Elephant and Worm Educational Theatre Company, The Actors Gymnasium, and Studio BE. She is the proud Associate Artistic Director of The State Theatre of Chicago.
